Empathy and focus on the User
We believe that all design must empathise with the user, their lifestyle. The focus needs to be on its ease of use and value addition to their quality of life.
Form follows Function
The purpose of design has significant value. The form our design will take is based on the function of that design, on the way it will be used.
Design is in the Detail
Details make the design. For any design to function properly and have a pleasing aesthetic, details need to be appropriate and in tune with its purpose.
Our Design Style
We don't ascribe to any style in particular, each project is treated according to its needs. But we generally have a clean, contemporary design aesthetic which we like to marry with rich local craftsmanship. We also love adding a bit of playfulness to our design with colour and art.
Our design finds its inspiration in Scandinavian Design, Indian culture and craft, textures and colours. Sometimes the chosen materials also guide our design.
Who are we?
We, at Studio Blueprint are a small team based in Pune. Studio Blueprint was co-founded in 2020 by us, Janaki Lele and Manish Mengale, upon our return from Australia.
"I like describing myself as an Architect by education and an Artist by passion. I grew up in a household of two architect parents, so my stepping into this field was inevitable. I have always had an eye for colour and a maker's fingers. While living in Australia, dissatisfaction with my day job led me to explore paper as a medium to satisfy my maker's instincts. I went on to exhibit at various venues across Australia and India during that time. Now that I am back in my city, I have established a dual practice at Studio Blueprint, designing spaces and making art!"
